Two years after New York was largely shut down because of the coronavirus, the city is now seeing the pendulum swing back: most school children no longer have to wear masks in schools, and businesses aren’t required to request proof of vaccination from their customers. But, as health experts warn, this doesn’t mean the pandemic is over. The state health commissioner, Dr. Mary Bassett, and the city health commissioner, Dr. Dave Chokshi, join Errol to reflect on New York’s response to the pandemic and encourage New Yorkers to keep taking certain precautions.
